Learning Basic Shapes Made Easy:

  • Circle – A circle is round. It has no corners
    Examples: plate, coin, clock

Hands-On Activities to follow on with this resource: 

  • Magazines/Newspapers: Cut shapes from paper and sort them by type
  • Chalk: Use chalk to draw shapes on the concrete see if you can call out a shape an your child draws it. If they are young you can help them or model it first and then they can copy you.

Swap Playdough for: 

  • Ice block sticks: Use ice block sticks to build the shapes
  • Lego: Use lego to build the shape
