Why this is important at home and in the classroom
Children are visual learners. What they see every day shapes what they believe is correct. Introducing accurate letter formations from a young age helps reinforce strong handwriting skills and letter knowledge as children begin and progress through their schooling.
I strongly believe every classroom, daycare, kindgeration should display the New Zealand (using the NZ Handwriting font) alphabet, giving children a reliable reference point from Year 0 through to Year 6.
